About Me

My name is Thomas ‘Toss’ Condon. I’m 23 years old and hold a B.F.A. in New Media from the University of Lethbridge. It was during my time there that I became quite fond of 3D Graphics, and 3D Studio Max in particular.

I do most of my work in 3DS Max and Photoshop. I’m not particularly skilled at 2D drawing, but I do use sketches to help plot out ideas for myself, or communicate them to others.

I’ve been an avid video gamer since I got my first GameBoy for my seventh birthday. It’s this lifelong love of gaming that has fueled my desire to start a career in the electronic games industry. To that end, I enrolled at the University of Lethbridge’s New Media program to learn the skills needed in the industry.

Outside of video games, I also enjoy taking relaxing walks, reading, and listening to music. I currently reside in Calgary.

About this Site:

T_ConX is the online handle that I adopted in early 2002, and have been using for pretty much everything since. Naturally, when the time came to buy a domain name for my portfolio, it seemed like an easy choice, until I discovered that TCONX.com was taken. TCONX.net, probably the next best thing, was free.

I’m not crazy about Web Design, and decided that I wanted to spend as little time as possible ‘fighting’ my site to get it to do what I wanted, and went with WordPress-powered Blog and a K2 theme. The current style is of my own design, modified from the ‘Vader’ style that came with K2. While I did say I wanted to avoid fighting my site, I really had to toy around with the CSS quite a bit before I got what I wanted.

I use Slimbox for image galleries. I like Slimbox because it’s clean, intuitive, and was easy to set up. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a smart way to set up a simple online image gallery.
