Trying out High-Poly
~20 Hours, over the course of 3 weeks
3DS Max for modeling
First time doing high-poly modeling (the whole thing is about 144,000 tri, after one TurboSmooth iteration), and I think it came out pretty well. I started with a basic shape, and then just spent time adding in small details as floating geometry. Maybe later I’ll try turning this into a low-poly w/ a Normal Map.







Oh.. Beautiful. But if you going to make sci fi floor you better bake a normal maps and add it on low poly.
